Once again, September saw our hero fundraiser Leo Halpin (87) and the Old Town Committee come together for the Great Cappagh Walk in Old Town, Co Dublin. The popular event which is now in its 10th year, was a huge success with a sponsored walk, farmers market, raffle, face painting, BBQ and wonderful community spirit. Together Leo and friends have raised almost €15,000 this year to support the Sarcoma Department at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh (NOHC). Leo, the driving force behind the event is a past patient of the NOHC and veteran fundraiser, raising over €150,000 for the Foundation over the years.
